5Modulation / Occupied bandwidthClass: 2 and 4L (QPSK and 16-QAM or equivalent).
ACM is allowed.
OBW: 7 / 14 / 28 MHz.
Definition of spectral efficiency classes: refer to current version of EN 302 217-2 V3.3.1, clause 4.1.3.
Adaptive Modulation (ACM) is allowed.
OBW with Class 2 (QPSK): 7 MHz without ACM.
OBW with Class 4L (16-QAM or equivalent): 7 MHz / 14 MHz with or without ACM.
OBW with Class 4L (16-QAM or equivalent): 28 MHz in particularly justified cases with or without ACM.

7Transmit power / Power density10.15 - 10.6 GHz: max. 50 dBW e.i.r.p.
10.6 - 10.65 GHz: max. -3 dBW
The operational e.i.r.p. will be specified in the license / individual assignment.
10.6 - 10.65 GHz: max. transmitter power at the antenna port according to ECC/DEC/(10)01.
8Channel access and occupation rules--
9Authorisation regimeSwitzerland: License required.
Liechtenstein: Individual assignment required.

10Additional essential requirements--
11Frequency planning assumptionsEN 302 217-2.
Nominal RX input level = - 55 dBm.
ATPC control range = min. 10 dB to max. 20 dB.
Conditions for the nominal RX input level:
- Receiver input, point A in the system block diagram (EN 302 217-1),
- RX input level tolerance: +1 to -10 dB,
- ATPC set to min. TX output power in clear sky conditions (i.e. without rain fading).
=====
ATPC power increases shall be triggered on the basis of propagation effects only. The ATPC system shall not remain at max. available power (current version of EN 302 217-1 V3.3.1, clause 3.1) for more than 15 consecutive minutes (ITU-R Rec. F.750).
=====
Remote Transmit Power Control (RTPC) is considered to be an optional feature.
=====
At first CCDP has to be used and then ACCP.
=====
Limits for the spectrum masks: refer to current version of EN 302 217-2 V3.3.1, clause 4.2.3.2, Figure 7.
=====
Allowed Reference Modes for ACM:
- 7 / 14 / 28 MHz channelling with 16-QAM modulation.
=====
Min. link distance = 15 km.
Site sharing radius = 900 m.
=====
Class 3 antenna.
Min. antenna gain = 33 dBi.
Linear (horizontal or vertical) polarization.
Antenna radiation pattern envelope (RPE) according to EN 302 217-4, Figure 13.
OFCOM may impose tighter requirements than the minimum values given in EN 302 217-4 in order to maximize the use of the scarce spectrum resources.
=====
For 10.600 - 10.650 GHz max. elev. +20°
